Compact Solution for Direct Part Marking

Dapra Marking introduces a versatile, compact head for industrial marking applications where space is a premium. The Multi 4-50 has a 50 x 60 (1.96" x 2.36") marking window and is ideal for hand-held marking on larger parts in reduced access areas or as an integrator unit for automated marking.

The compact 50 x 60 complements the standard Multi 4 model with a 120 x 60 (4.72" x 2.36") marking window. Both models are completely electric (requiring no air supply to operate) and feature an embedded controller containing user-friendly software, an integral membrane keyboard and an easy-to-read LCD screen.

Like the standard Multi 4, the Multi 4-50 is available in four basic versions: a bench-top model; the aforementioned portable or hand-held model for marking large parts; a combo model which combines bench-top and portable capabilities; and, an integrator model for use in automated production lines.

IDI technology (Innovative Driving Impact), for improved mark quality, is a feature only available on Multi 4 marking systems. IDI assures consistent dot depth on uneven, curved or irregular part surfaces. As required by the DoD, Automotive, Aerospace and other global industries, the Multi 4 can be provided with the TechnoMatrix option, to create and mark DataMatrix codes directly on your workpiece for better part traceability and tracking.

In-line Marking for Machining Centers

Durable Mecco offers the DuraDot, an in-line marking solution enabling completion of one process while another workpiece is being manufactured — reducing the need for secondary marking operations.

The solution works with the standard software of machining centers with simple dot-to-dot marking patterns that are accomplished through RPM and feed rate settings. No cutting fluids or air is required for activating the carbide stylus. It marks soft and hard materials up to 55RC on round, flat or uneven marking surfaces and is only limited by the travel of your machine.

The DuraDot package includes the spindle holder specific to the machining center and the appropriate stop block. The unit requires minimal maintenance with few wear items, and is suitable for aerospace applications requiring low stress.

ID Tag Printer

For half of the cost of a comparable marker, the newest of InfoSight’s laser metal tag printers, the JM410, produces custom bar-coded ID tags on demand.

Designed for low-volume applications, the JM410 prints tags for Asset Identification or Industrial Marking. At up to 80 inches per second, the JM410 should be ideal for asset tagging utilizing UID-, GS1- and Data Matrix-compliant barcodes. The JM410 boasts a marking area of up to 4? x 4? for printing a range of tag sizes.

Miniturized Labeling Solutions

Schreiner ProTech introduces miniature double-sided adhesive die-cut parts (Mini-DSAPs), specially designed for very small assembly components. They consist of a film with an adhesive coating on both sides; brief application of pressure is sufficient to join the components. The Mini-DSAPs provide an alternative to conventional bonding and joining techniques such as liquid gluing, bolting, soldering or ultrasonic welding.

The Mini-DSAPs’ bond requires no curing, eliminating the need for additional equipment such as drying ovens or lines and saving production costs while speeding up the assembly process.

Joining elements can include optional specific thermal conductivity properties for use in electronic components requiring dissipation of the heat they generate. Other options include combinations with special membranes and non-woven fabrics, which are useful for ventilating components or as dust protection.
